Suitable for absolute beginners and those needing to brush up on their skills.
Learn to thread up your overlocker and improve confidence in using it across all projects. We also make a 3D project to take home - a twisted headband.
Cost: £45 - 2 hour lesson
You don’t need to have your own overlocker, but if you don’t you will need to rent one of ours. Please add the appropriate machine rental to your order (below to course option).

Location:
This term classes are held in South Nutfield, Surrey (full address given once booked) . There is some free parking, plus free road parking at the location.
This class is up to 2.5 hours long.
Please arrive no earlier than 5 minutes beforehand to set up your equipment and get settled in, We start promptly at the times stated - we have lots to fit in!!
Content:
During the 2.5 hour session we will cover how to thread up your overlocker correctly. Different uses between woven and stretch fabrics and tips for using it effectively for each. Practicing on woven and stretch samples. Finally we make a little project - a twisted headband - at the end of the session to use your overlocker to make something 3D
Fabrics:
Fabric for learning is included in the course cost, but you can bring your own fabric for your headband if you would like. Dimensions/requirements for the headband piece will be provided if requested.
If you don't bring fabric we will have something from our stock for you to use, but there may not be a choice.
Sewing machines and equipment:
Please bring your own overlocker with you, as it is best to learn on the machine you will have at home. If you don’t have a machine yet but you are hoping just to try out/to buy one post course, you are welcome to hire ours (small surcharge per lesson) but this must be added to your booking (above).
We will supply a list of the sewing equipment you need in your welcome letter once booked.
