We’re happy to be able to offer the following courses for starting in January 2026.

Please note that Saz will be going on maternity leave from the middle of January so we only be offering 2 full courses with Becky this coming term.

Saz is running some individually bookable sewing club classes in the first 2 weeks of Janaury.

Beginner lesson zero | Beginner dressmaking | Sewing club

Private tuition slots are currently unavailable until at least June 2026 - however please get in touch as we can work a waiting list for when we return.

SEWING CLUB - individual sessions

Bring your own projects and get help where it is needed.

If you have projects unfinished that need that push to get them complete, or if you want to try something new but have been unable to find the confidence at home. These classes are for you. You can also choose any garment from a course listed in our website - a small notions fee is required to cover pattern and mock up fabric.

This term (only) this will be run as individual sessions, you can book as many or as few as you like depending on availability. Each session is 2 hours.

Skill level: You don’t need to have been on a course with us before, but you need to have made something before. Either at home on your own or at a different class/group. Or been on one or more classes with us.

This course will not be suitable for absolute beginners, who can’t use a machine or haven’t made anything before.

Please don’t book this course if you can’t use a sewing machine, it will not be suitable. Please book our beginner lesson zero or beginner dressmaking course - see further down.

Beginner Lesson Zero

Learn how to thread up and work your machine, basic stitches, seams and hems, and make your first useful 3D project. No prior experience necessary!

Beginner dressmaking course

Make your first garment, or get back in to dressmaking on our beginner dressmaking course. Make a basic skirt over 5 consecutive weeks, starting on the dates below.

You must be able to already use a sewing machine to book this course. If you don’t know how to thread it up and sew straight stitch, you will need to book our lesson zero too (above).
